Holden Beach is home to a handful of the Brunswick Beaches shrimp boats and fresh seafood is a must when visiting this community. Visitors and residents can watch the shrimp boats bring in their harvest and then purchase the daily catch at seafood markets nearby. In fact, there is a large no wake zone in the InterCoastal Waterway due to the amount of shrimp boats and the fact that they don’t need to be disturbed by large wakes when docked. These boats are relics and really bring back visions of the old days!
